Zoe Sanchez’s entire world has tilted on its axis. Her best friend and boss, DI Benjamin Kidd, has gone off grid once again, her almost boyfriend Owen Campbell was brutally murdered on their last case, and with a new DI and DC ready to fill the empty spaces, the team is in a disrepair. Everything is changing around her and there doesn’t appear to be anything she can do to stop it.

Though one thing that never seems to change is the criminal underworld of their ward, and when a new case lands on their new DI’s desk there is little time for getting-to-know-yous. The team need to get into a new rhythm and fast as the body of a girl missing presumed dead shows up near the University and nothing is as it seems.
