Detective Jack Dawes is looking forward to a nice, quiet holiday with his wife, Corrie. And the seaside resort Now to Zen Hotel & Spa promises ‘a calming Zen environment’.

Perfect.

Corrie even registers his occupation as ‘electrician’ so no one will know he’s a detective while they’re there.

But on their way for a romantic dip, Jack and Corrie discover the body of a dead woman in one of the twilight whirlpools.

The spiritual oasis of pampering and relaxation turns into a nightmare. Jack is swiftly thrown into a police cell by a zealous local copper, who is convinced he’s the murderer.
