The Reflecting Pool

by Otho Eskin

Marko Zorn, a Washington D.C. homicide detective with a side career, investigates the murder of a Secret Service agent. With the help of a female FBI agent, he uncovers a connection between the murder victim, a domestic terrorist group planning to assassinate the U.S. President, and a doomed White House love affair. Dark forces in the U.S. government use their considerable power to try to stop Zorn’s search for the truth. Simultaneous factors—related to Zorn’s alternative career—embroil Zorn in a war among crime bosses in Washington over the delivery of military-grade guns. Zorn needs to prevent this as he becomes the hunted as well as the hunter, and he must use all his skills and cunning to avoid becoming the victim.
