Walk Within Shadows by J.A. Kazimer

When a mutilated body turns up in the rundown motel he calls home, private investigator Johnnie Walker is dragged into a case he never wanted.

The victim used a fake name. The killers walked past the room of the sixteen year old girl Johnnie protects. And the LAPD detective now circling him sees too much and trusts too little.

To save the people he cares about, Johnnie must break every rule he has lived by. Once the bodies start piling up, there is no walking away.
