Chris tries his best to be a part of society, but begins to crumble as his mental health gradually declines. The catalyst for this? A mannequin whose presence he can hear and feel in a locked cupboard in his flat. Chris makes a few dubious life choices, he’s a “cleaner” for his friend Bone who is working his way up the ranks of a local gang. It’s in stark contrast to the rest of his life, where he is kind to his elderly neighbour, good to the employees of his shop, and deeply cares about his friend and her daughter.

While the mannequin starts to play on his mind, one fatal night doing more than just “cleaning” for Bone is the beginning of the end for Chris.

You might find yourself laughing out loud every soften. If you’re looking for a gritty crime thriller, this is NOT that type of book. Seriously, laughing is good.
